The Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival (RLIOF), one of our valued organisational members, launches its 5th edition today, running from 23 July to 2 August 2025. Founded during the pandemic, RLIOF has transformed open-air spaces across Kosovo into opera stages, bringing performances to new audiences while supporting local talent.
Under the theme “Dreams Without Borders, Opera Without Walls” the festival continues its mission to make opera accessible, foster cultural exchange, and nurture emerging artists in a region where classical music has been underrepresented. This year’s edition will feature artists including Nexhmije Pagarusha, Marigona Qerkezi Soprano, Anita Rachvelishvili, Nino Machaidze, Dario Russo, Gala El Hadidi, Maestros Roberto Rizzi Brignoli and Nikoloz Rachveli, and Rame Lahaj himself, alongside masterclasses and educational activities for young artists.
RLIOF not only enriches the cultural landscape but also supports education and gender equality, providing free masterclasses and championing the role of cultural spaces in community development.
